				Ideally, 180-200 is best to boil off moisture/bad stuff.  Though it is nice to have a cowl structure that provides such good airflow, anything below 150 is not good.

				Interesting. I have no clue as here in Florida, even in the dead of winter the oil temp is in the 140s and in the summer near 200.

				Well, I'll answer my own post.
Yes, you can expect a 10-15 degree F higher temps when you cover the opening below the propeller. Conditions were OAT 35F, 2200 rpm, 110F oil temp rose to 120-125.

				Alon/M10 Winterization Kit was created by Mike Then			
			
				Hi, I am a new M10 owner.
Does anyone have Alon or M10 experience using the winterization kit? Basically, a plate covering the cowl opening below the prop.
I see where the 415 guys/gals use it, and report about 10 degrees F warmer oil temps, or higher.
Just wondering if I could expect about the same performance on an M10. I would think so.
