I have the C85 "stroker" STC, from Aircraft Specialties Services, which puts an O-200 crankshaft, pistons, and piston rods into a C85. This is great IF your C85 camshaft is airworthy. Otherwise scrounging up a camshaft, as Larry mentioned, can be a chore and quite possibly expensive. 

The full O-200 engine STC would be so nice if they didn't limit you to a more or less extreme climb prop! If it were me I'd instantly apply for field approval of a better prop choice.

O-200 - Pros - more of them out there, STC available to install. Con - prop choices allowed don’t take advantage of the increased horsepower.

C-85 - with an O-200 crankshaft STC makes for a nice engine, and with prop choices about as powerful as the O-200. Con - parts made from unobtainium.

All - $$$$$$$$$$$$

Considering an upgrade to an  O-200 or O/H current C-85.  Pros and cons.  The Coupe is a 1946 415-E. Any suggestions/comments appreciated.
