"As a side query, I wonder how many ERcoupe pilots are in the eighties and still flying their Coupes. Just curious. Thanks in advance for any and all responses. "Keep the blue side up!""
Not quite there yet - I turn 78 in February. My Cooupe is in for an extensive Annual right now - I'd like to see another 5 good years in the air for both me and the bird. Hopefully more...

Maybe some better news on my oil consumption. Using a quart every 4.20 hours. Originally figured in was every 3 hours. I miscalculated! Never was good at math!

Bill; Thanks for sharing. Been 51 years for me; Six Bonanzas later, one brief Cessna 140 adventure (not able to keep it out of grass!), two 172's, and the Ercoupe. I am at the cross road about keeping on. If I lived with my Ercoupe probably keep flying till the end. As you mentioned, tough decision. I don't golf, fish, or hunt or travel much any longer. You are pretty much at the lower limit of oil usage, according to Continental. I'll attach the form that shows it. When I had my engine overhauled in 2006 ir was consuming a quart every 3 hours, and that is awfully close to the limit. It also made trips a pain, since every stop I had to put oil in it.
