I located the article describing the master relay and why it's needed. It's in the Coupe Capers of April, 2021, page 3. That's Volume 50, Number 4. That may help. You can get to it on this web site under the files>coupe capers menu item.

Actually, the STC makes it so the master switch merely grounds the relay, so there is no current at all on the wire from the switch to the relay at the battery. Can’t get much safer than no current at all!

It’s supposedly a low voltage switch to ground the selonoid and therefore shut off the battery. So I hear!

If it's a minor alteration a 337 is not required. 337s are only used for major alternations and require approved data, ie STC or field approval.

I worry about insulation chafing off that hot wire to the switch. If it starts sparking there’s nothing you can do but watch the fireworks.

Forney was on the panel. It is a 337minor alt. I don't see the need for the Alpha sol. That battery cable is pretty well protected by airfrane . It's nothing but another switch. It has a small hot wire to turn it off or on.
