I have had both and can't say I noticed much difference. If you want to go back to flat you will have to undo some changes made and come up with the parts removed to accommodate the change to bubble.

I'm with Larry. The bubble looks to knobby and it detracts from the lines of the Ercoupe. Some owners say it cuts the wind better. With that 1/4 round cue ball shape it looks as if the slip stream needs to travel farther to reach the top. This is just my input, Also some say it is used for the newer instrument panels? TKS....

Both. I read somewhere you lose a knot or so with the bubble windshield.

Define "sleek" -- appearance or aerodynamics?

I vote for flat. I think it makes the plane a little sleeker.
