Sounds good on the VARMA thing. Please email a copy of the documents to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to get them uploaded to the site. I will write something up for the May Coupe Capers. Great work!

I just got the then and now fuel pump rebuild kit approved under VARMA, it has all the parts required for the mandatory AD plus all the rebuild parts if you want to tackle that. Way better than $150+ for the ADS kit from spruce and $1200+ for a rebuilt fuel pump from tempest. Im working on some other things that may be helpful and if/when I get them approved I will add them to the site.

Dirt cheap: Amazon.com "car cigarette lighter" USB charger with voltage display. Infinitely cheaper and easier then installing "aircraft grade" USB ports and volt meter.
Relatively cheap: TAF spin on oil filter adapter. Easier to deal with than the oil screen, better for the engine, and adds a little passive oil cooling without fuss.
Cheap in the glass cockpit world: Garmin Aera 660 + GDL 50. About $1500 gets you maps and info, GPS nav, weather, ADS-B traffic, and a pretty solid AI with synthetic vision.

I’m trying to assemble an article for the Coupe Capers about small modifications to Ercoupes that make things a little easier or nicer.
Of course “inexpensive” is a relative term. But go ahead and reply with anything you’ve done to your Ercoupe that makes life easier.
I’ll start - the quick drain on my oil sump. It makes changing oil so much easier and neater. The model for the C75-C85 is the S6250 for $109.95 at Aircraft Spruce.
Your ideas?
