				They gave the VNE as 117. That's maneuvering speed. VNE is 144.

				I suppose if I won, I could keep the nicer and sell the other to pay the taxes.  Trade up cheap, so to speak.  Where are the details of the sweepstakes plane posted?

				That’s the problem with winning a car or airplane. They are considered income and since that’s added to the top of your income it’s taxed at a higher rate. I bought a raffle ticket, but if I win it I’ll have to sell it because I don’t have an extra $20000 lying around!

				Looks like the same airplane they offered last year, the winner took cash instead.   As I recall, EAA valued the prize at $60,000 meaning the winner would pay as much in income tax as I paid to buy my bird outright.  Must be a REALLY nice Ercoupe for that kind of money.  Wish I could afford it.

				From what I've seen, this is the same plane from AV 2023. The raffle had an option for the Ercoupe or a $25k cash payout. My guess is the winner chose the cash, and now they're re-raffling.
