				Hi John;
Thanks for your feedback. I had the same results searching for used wheels. Ratty is a good summation. I checked the Parker-Cleveland catalog and they list the 40-17 as inactive.
Do you know if the rep from Parker considered the 40-77 to be a suitable replacement for the 40-17?
Thanks
Martin

				40-17 is also listed for the Alons, note 205(d) in the TCDS along with the Goodyear.

				Martin, I looked up the felt I got from Aircraft Spruce #06-02872 It is hard to find the flat retainers the snap ring not so hard. The. Parker / Cleveland parts are priced way high for little parts. You mit call Vern to see what he has. I know he has a few Alons and an M10 down there at his salvage yard 803-360-2061 Good luck!

				I have been searching for the same for the Cleveland wheel with no definitive results.  I contacted Parker (manufacturer) if there was a substitute for the 40-17 and received this reply:  "We spoke yesterday but I wanted to close the loop by saying the 40-77 is a 5.00-5 wheel and is close to the 40-17 wheel you asked about."  I also check with Macfarlane about parts and they provided this chart.  I also looked on ebay for both the Goodyear and Cleveland wheels and the only ones were what I would consider "ratty" at best.  John
