Alpha has the STC to install an 0200.

I think the STCs are for the -A version, not the D. Also, I don't know that the STC includes the Alons. My Alon has the O200A thanks to Chevron back in the early 90's putting jet fuel in the av gas tanks. That was done via 337 field approval, but pretty much mirrored the then existing STC. You might want to contact Alpha Aviation. I've considered replacing with a D rather than overhauling my A and it's unclear if that would need another 337 (I would say not, but I'm not an AP/IA and it's their call)

Replace C90 16 F with Continental 0200 D Engine was created by Patrick McNamara
Fellow members, I recently purchased an Alon Aircoupe only to find out it is extremely expensive and nearly impossible to locate some parts. I've contacted Continental and was informed that any of the 0200 engines is a good choice. I am aware that a STC is necessary and am willing to request assistance where necessary. I am looking to the Ercoupe Owners Group for comments, suggestions and assistance when a bump is encountered. I look forward to hearing from everyone. Thank you.
