The Champion M41E spark plug price has increased to an insane $120 per plug. What 18 mm tractor plug are you using?

No,I rebuilt the aircraft from a derelict, so never operated it until after the restoration, the line lock works extremely well.
The original location of the gascolator is ridiculous as you have to open the cowl to sample fuel . I have the UREM37 plugs on the bottom, the tractor plugs are on the top. The cascolator mount comes from Spruce, bolted to the bottom of the firewall with 4 AN3 bolts, the fuel line runs from the fuel tap behind the master cylinder

Nice work!
I like the new gascolator location. If I end up having issues with mine I'll seriously consider that - if my A&P agrees to sign off on it. If you have the opportunity I'd love to see a photo of how it's mounted & hose routing from the inside of the cowl.
I already kind of decided to eliminate the cowl bumps when and if I get around to replacing my nose bowl. It's serviceable but overly patched up. My cowl doors are the same... at some point in the past the bottom edges were patched & reinforced due to cracking around the fastening studs but they didn't do the prettiest job.
A few months ago I changed my bottom plugs to UREM37BY to minimize idle fouling, and a quick experimental fitting in the top plug holes determined that these shorter plugs would fit without the bumps.
Got to admit though, I might miss the bumps because they're such a part of the "Ercoupe look!"
Were you having trouble with the cable-actuated parking brake, or did you just want to modernize? My cable parking brake works great and will still be holding strong after sitting for a week or more. The only thing I dislike about it is the knee-bumping bracket that was used to install it, but I reckon that if I ever replace the panel I'll drill it into the panel instead of hanging it below.

I made 3 major mods to my 415c restoration, the first was to move the gascolator to the bottom of the firewall where it should be in the first pace….second was to get rid of the mechanical parking brake in favour of a hydraulic line lock and third was to eliminate the bumps on the cowling by installing 18 mil tractor plugs, I’ve used them on all of my RV6 and 9 with no issues, you will need to modify the harnesscomments would be appreciated
