Weight and Balance

With this years annual we finally did a new weight and balance. I have done a LOT of work to the M10, added and removed things, so there had been a lot of calculation of weight but it had not actually been weighed since 1982. The calculated weight was supposed to be 985 lbs. The actual weight was 1060 lbs but the CG was in the middle of the specified range. I know that every older airplane we have weighed in the last 3-4 years has come out heavier than the calculated weight. I'm glad I did the W&B as now I know exactly what I have and know that I have flown right up to the edge of the gross weight envelope and the airplane flies fine, just heavy.
