I put a strip of tape over my gaskets until I get the stacks onto the studs, and then pull it out before tightening things up. Or sometimes a piece of string wrapped around the cylinder.

Anyone have a handy trick to get the exhaust gaskets to stay in place on the cylinder while wiggling the exhaust stack in place. The stacks on my C-85 are a very tight fit and require a lots of wiggling to get in place.
